    Arizona Private Career Schools and Colleges Scholarship

    Criteria: Students attending specific Career/Technical Schools are eligible to apply.  For a complete listing of schools, please contact the Counseling Department.

    Award: $1,000

    ASU Leadership Scholarship Program

     Criteria:Arizona high schools are asked to nominate a strong senior with excellent leadership abilities and the potential to make major contributions at the collegiate level.

    Award:$9,000 annual scholarship

    Deadline: Student must complete a self-nomination application and have it on file with the Counseling Department no later than Monday, September 16thand be planning to attend ASU as a full time enrolled student for the Fall semester.

    ASU Melnick Scholarship

    Criteria: Student plans to attend ASU in the Fall. 1200 word essay on public policy issues

    ASU - Rosie Lopez Student Advocate Scholarship Program/CPLC

    Criteria: The primary goal of the Arizona Hispanic Community Forum (AHCF) and the Rosie Lopez Student Advocate Scholarship Program is to provide financial assistance and support to outstanding Arizona Latino students to attend and graduate from Arizona State University.

    Criteria:The scholarships provide a tuition waiver to Arizona State University students who are committed to helping others. CPLC and its partnering sponsors are dedicated to empowering future community leaders who are interested in developing innovative strategies to improve the communities of Arizona

    Boston University Trustee Scholarship Competition

    Criteria: This scholarship opportunity is for students demonstrating academic excellence with the potential to inspire fellow students to excel. Applicants should be graduating seniors who plan to attend Boston University in the Fall. Students should strive to be in the top 5% of their graduating class and have demonstrated motivation, talent and leadership.

    Deadline: All self-nomination forms should be provided to the Counseling Department no later than September 15th. 

     Award:Renewable scholarship covering full undergraduate tuition plus orientation and undergraduate fees for four years.

    FIDM - DECA Scholarship

    Criteria: Open to Senior DECA students who plan to attend FIDM in the Fall.

    Award: $500

    FIDM National Scholarship Competition

    Criteria:Open to all High School Seniors, FIDM's National Scholarship Competition looks for students who are creative thinkers and have an "eye" for unconventional thinking. To enter, entrants are asked to submit a project according to the guidelines set within each category

    GCU Academic Scholarships

               Presidential ($10,000 per year)Minimum incoming GPA 3.8 (un-weighted) or SAT 1350 (math and verbal scores only)/ ACT 31 and maintain a minimum GPA 3.5 as well as continuous and full time enrollment at GCU.

               Provost’s Scholarship ($8,000 per year)Minimum incoming GPA 3.6 (un-weighted) or SAT 1225 (math and verbal scores only) / ACT 27 and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.3 as well as continuous and full time enrollment at GCU.

               Dean’s Scholarship ($6,000 per year)Minimum incoming GPA 3.4 (un-weighted) or SAT 1100 (math and verbal scores only) / ACT 24 and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.2 GPA as well as continuous and full time enrollment at GCU.

               Faculty Scholarship ($4,000 per year)Minimum incoming GPA 3.0 (un-weighted) or SAT 1000 (math and verbal scores only) / ACT 21 and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 as well as continuous and full time enrollment at GCU.

     

    GCU - Freshman College Major Scholarships

    To qualify, students must meed the following criteria:

               Minimum incoming GPA of 2.75 (un-weighted) or SAT 920 / ACT 19

               Transfers (6-23 credits): minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75

               Maintain a minimum institutional GPA of 2.5 as well as continuous and full-time e

             enrollment.

               Must follow recommended program of study.

               Tim and Marci Salmon College of Education Scholarships

                         Education majors qualify for a $3,000 scholarship per year.

                           Education majors with an emphasis in math, science, or special education qualify   

                        for an additional $1,000scholarship per year.

               College of Fine Arts and Production

               All Fine Arts and Production majors qualify for a $3,000 scholarship per year.

               College of Arts and Sciences

               Christian Studies majors qualify for a $3,000 scholarship per year. These recipients must    

              also attend a minimum of 12 Chapel services per   
               semester.

               Ken Blanchard College of Business

               Business Management majors qualify for a $3,000 scholarship per year.

     

     
    GCU Servant Scholarship

    Criteria: Senior student who has been accepted to GCU and attends a minimum of 12 chapel services per semester, attends 3 out of 4 Life Group meetings a month, attend one GCU “Lead Like Jesus” training event per month, attend one Ministry partner related leadership training event per month, serve an average of 8 hours per week in ministry: 4 on-campus and 4 off-campus, provide a weekly activity report to Canyon Scholar Coordinator, provide periodic grade check reports to the Canyon Scholar Coordinator, and participate in at least 1 GCSS mission trips.

    Award:$10,000 per year

    Maricopa County Community Colleges

    Criteria: Available to students who will be attending any of the Maricopa County Community Colleges.

    Maricopa County Community Colleges (Chicanos Por La Causa Scholarship)

    Criteria: The primary goal of the CPLC/MCCD Scholarship Program is to provide financial assistance and support to outstanding Arizona students to attend and graduate from one of the Maricopa County’s ten community colleges.  To date, over 240 scholarships have been awarded with a total value of more than $360,000.

    Seattle University - Sullivan Leadership Award Competition

    Criteria:Students must have participated and demonstrated leadership in school activities, public service, and community involvement. Have a commitment to justice and the good of others through service. Possess effective oral and written communication skills. Currently completing a demanding course selection and strong academic achievement (typically GPA 3.5 or higher).

    Award:9 Awards are given each year with each award offering a 4 year scholarship award equal to full tuition, room and meals

    Criteria:  Senior students who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership and service and are planning to attend the University of Arizona.

    University of Arizona - BAIRD Scholarship

     Criteria: Senior students planning on attending the University of Arizona with a GPA of 3.5 or higher and who demonstrate strong leadership qualities are invited to self-nominate.

    Deadline:September 16th (Self-nomination deadline - actual scholarship deadline is October 14th)

    Application:Self-nomination application must be completed and on file with the Counseling Department by September 15th.  One self-nomination applicant will be chosen by the BCHS Scholarship Committee to then apply for the BAIRD scholarship. 

     
    University of Arizona - SigEp Building Balanced Men Scholarship
     
    Criteria:  Male student enrolled at the University of Arizona for the upcoming Fall semester.

    Criteria:  Students should exhibited a capacity for service and leadership, as well as academic excellence, and who will embrace the challenges of a rigorous academic curriculum.
