Discovery Time..."All that Matters!"

The Fantastic Frogs have been "Leaping into Science!"  We have had a wonderful time investigating Solids, Liquids, & Gases! Our first observations were centered around bubbles; we found that gas would fill the "container" it was in.  Bubbles form round "pockets" of air.  The next few photos show how we made Lava Lamp cups... again, bubbles (gas) were created from Alka Seltzer tablets.  The bubbles attach themselves to the "blobs" of colored water and bring them to the top of the cup.  When the bubbles pop, the blobs of colored water fall back to the bottom due to the density of water! WHEW!  Second Graders get EXCITED over Science!!
