Hello there.  My name is Jennifer Simcoe.  I am looking forward to a wonderful year in Kindergarten with you and your child.  It's an exciting foundational year full of many rich learning experiences and social interactions.  I'm expecting the journey will be an excellent one!

A little bit about me.....originally born in Wisconsin, I moved here when I was two and half.  So, I pretty much grew up in 好色导航 where much later, I attended NAU and met my wonderful husband, Nate.  We were blessed with our boys - John and Michael - who will be Seniors at Sandra Day O'Connor High School this year.  They are so fun to be with and have brought our family much joy.  We all enjoy staying active and spending our time at the boys' swimming and basketball activities as well as movie nights and vacationing in the mountains and the beach.

Before our boys were born, I taught for nine years in grades 1 - 3, at Copper Creek Elementary in the district.  During that time, I earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Early Childhood Education, Reading, and Secondary English Immersion and am currently working on my gifted endorsement.  After taking some time off to be with our children, I had the opportunity to return to the classroom. I joined Las Brisas Elementary, teaching Kindergarten and Third Grades.  My boys also attended and thrived there. A new opportunity called and I couldn't pass up the chance to come and teach at Terramar!  I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful community and I can't wait for our year to begin together.  This will be my 10th year teaching Kindergarten and this year marks my 21st year in the classroom. Having taught grades K-3, I have a unique look into all the foundational skills students need and how they use those skills to develop richer and deeper learning experiences this year and beyond.  But, it all starts right here in Kinder. :)  I look forward to beginning a wonderful school experience with you and your child. Let the fun begin!
