I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri.  Sports have always been a huge part of my life.  I started out playing ice hockey when I was young and switched to soccer and track when I entered high school.  After I graduated high school in 2008 I moved out to Arizona to attend college at Arizona State University. I continued to compete in track as a decathlete and a pole vaulter.  I received my original degree from ASU in psychology.  After college, however, I decided that teaching was the route that I wanted to take instead so I took some time and earned my teaching certification.  This is going to be my 5th year teaching here at DVMS and I'm looking forward to another great year!
