I am so excited to be a part of the Highland Lakes family for the 2024-2025 school year. I continue to love Arizona as a Florida native transplant. My husband and two kids relocated to Glendale in July 2016. We love the many things to do in Arizona and take frequent trips to neighboring states. Other than traveling, our family loves to swim, craft, play sports, and go out to eat at new restaurants. I would love suggestions of your favorite places to eat!

I am a graduate of the University of Florida and have my Masters in Education with ESOL, Gifted, and Art endorsements. This will be my 20th year as an educator. My philosophy is based upon the right of each child to have an equal opportunity to develop to his or her fullest potential intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically. Students are the future innovators, entrepreneurs, creative thinkers, researchers, and world citizens.

Participating in Art class helps students to enhance their creativity, extend their awareness and understanding of the visual world, and develop fine motor skills. It is my privilege to guide students while they explore and develop their skills in personal expression and development of ideas.

My goal for my students would be: for them to become intelligent problem solvers; to enjoy learning; and to display positive character traits and integrity.
