Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Richelle Puckett

Hi Everyone!

My name is Richelle Puckett and I am so excited to be teaching here in the wonderful community of Desert Hills.

I'm a graduate of Grand Canyon University with my degree in Elementary Education. Over the years, I have taught several different grades, including Kindergarten, First, and Third. I have also worked in the non-profit sector doing developmental screening for children ages 3-5, and I was also a tutor for grades K-12!  I hold endorsements in Early Childhood Education and Structured English Immersion.

I believe that all students can be successful. This happens with the combined efforts of school, community and home. The beginning years of education are crucial for developing the fundamentals that will help each student succeed.  It is important for all of us to work together to make this happen.

I have three children of my own.  My youngest is here at DM!

My husband and I always have projects that we like to do. One of our favorite things is repurposing materials for new use. The barn in our back yard is one of the projects that we have completed.  After collecting over 2000 bricks, we completed the floor and made an entire outdoor living space using recycled materials! Recycle, reuse, and repurpose! We also love to go up north and spend weekends in the mountains where we have many projects. However, we do like to relax and do some fishing!

One of my favorite things to do is watch turtles!   I  spend my summers in Florida on the beach. I have had the privilege of observing these magnificent animals nesting on the beach and have also had the opportunity to witness their efforts by seeing hatchlings make their first journey to water. My children and I have also helped with rescue and release!

We are going to have a great year and if you ever have questions, please feel free to reach out to me.
