Hello, Wolf Pack Students and Families!
I am so happy to introduce myself to you. My name is Ms. Laura Altmaier.
This will be 21 years of teaching for me. I taught multi-age first, second and third grade Montessori gifted children, and fourth grade self-contained gifted in Peoria. I am currently teaching a multi-age second and third grade Renaissance class. I have three children and eight grandchildren.
I have a master's degree in education, K-8 certified AZ with a gifted endorsement, and I am also a National Board Certified Teacher.
Canyon Springs is an amazing community. I love the STEM aspect of this school. I would add an A for STEAM – I went to art school and taught art for a while! I created, wrote curriculum and taught Science Club for five years. I was also an assistant coach for the Robotics Club in Peoria.
