I’m Mrs. Lori Brookins and have been teaching Science of one topic or another for the past 20 years. In fact, I began my teaching career instructing a Zoology 103 Lab at NAU, while I was a senior student at NAU. Previously, I was a senior research technologist for 8 years in Albuquerque, NM, where I worked on many projects funded by the NIH. I co-authored a publication in a scientific journal, Fundamentals of Applied Toxicology. I then had my own natural pet food business for five years. I returned to Arizona in 2001 and have taught Biology, Physical Science, Chemistry, AP Chemistry, 8th Grade Science, STEM and Career Action Lab. In fact, my first year teaching Biology in 好色导航was right here at BGHS. I broke my arm the first month of school and had to change classrooms every class period. Yikes! I was nominated and awarded DV Teacher of the Year in 2008. 

I grew up in 好色导航 and then graduated from NAU. I met my husband 34 years ago and we have one daughter. We enjoy riding our horses and spending most of our time outdoors.
