Ana Honeycutt

I am a native of Madrid, Spain. I came to the United States in 1992 and I started teaching Spanish in 1995. It has been my passion to teach the Spanish language and culture for all of these years. I taught all levels of Spanish from level 1 to AP at the high school level in Washington State and Virginia. I also taught for three years at the University of Tennessee just before I moved to Arizona. I have been teaching Spanish at Deer Valley High School since November 2020 and I am the sponsor of the Spanish Honor Society. I have a Bachelor's in Spanish Education from Whitworth University, a Master’s in Education from Old Dominion University and a Master’s in Spanish from the University of Tennessee.

My husband and I have a son, a daughter and two grandchildren. I lived in Germany for three years and, after Germany, I lived in Washington State, Virginia and Tennessee before moving to Arizona. I love traveling, although I do most of my travelling to Spain to visit my family every summer. I also enjoy working on art and home projects and I like to exercise. However, my most favorite activity is to teach Spanish and to see how much my students learn and grow in my classes!
