Hello! I am so happy to be your child’s teacher! 

I graduated from Fort Hays State University to be an educator with knowledge of Special Education & Communications. Within my last year of school, I left my Kansas home and moved solo to our Deer Valley community for my student teaching internship at Sunrise! I felt such support and connection with this school that I am honored to continue my career as a Lion. In my free time I love to craft, paint, hike, read, and go to concerts!

In my classroom, I aim to make students feel safe, welcomed, and motivated to learn. While teaching academics to build foundational knowledge, I encourage perseverance through difficulty, kind connections with peers, and learning life skills to carry them beyond my classroom. I am committed to helping kids learn how they best understand and giving them a safe space to do so. I cannot wait to learn and grow alongside your children this year!
