Mrs. Kaili Pfantz (Kay-Lee Fonts)
Hello! My name is Kaili Pfantz, and I am the school counselor at Sierra Verde! This year you can also find me providing additional support to students through our RTI-B interventions and as the onsite 504 coordinator.
I am an Arizona native, and a Sierra Verde resident since 1998. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in Psychology in 2010, and recently graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Master of Education in School Counseling. I have worked with children and students in different capacities over the past 17 years. I appreciate the unique strengths and abilities each child possesses, and I seek to continue implementing a school counseling program that highlights and nurtures these strengths and abilities, encourages curiosity and passion for exploration, and adapts to meet the needs of students and families.
I am a happy wife and mama of two young children, an african sulcata tortoise, two kitties, and a puppy dog. My husband and I are avid board gamers, currently owning 175 board games. We enjoy traveling and visiting family around the country, trying new recipes, hosting game nights, and catching the latest movie in theatres. Our greatest adventure is being parents to our two beautiful children.
I believe that an effective school counseling program is based on meaningful relationships. I hope to collaborate with teachers, school staff, parents and community members in order to support students academically, socially, and emotionally. Being a school counselor also means being an educator. I recognize that every child has strengths, different learning styles, and specific needs both academically and emotionally. It is my duty to honor these differences and find ways to support students and teachers both in and out of the classroom. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve this remarkable school and community and I look forward to building relationships.
I am excited about working with the students, families, and teachers of Sierra Verde! It’s going to be a year full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures!
