Entering eighth grade is a milestone in your life and we are anticipating a fun and exciting year with you. As you know, Sierra Verde is a STEAM Academy with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics.  The eighth grade team is looking forward to providing all of your academic needs this year.  Last year, we set the bar high for the eighth grade students and we know that you will outpace their accomplishments.  Our goal is for every eighth grade student to think critically and be prepared for high school.  You have many talents and we look forward to seeing all of your successes.

Throughout the year, you can find out more information about 8^th grade by reading our weekly newsletters.  Our primary goal as educators is to assist you in attaining all your educational goals and aspirations.  We are here to help you in whatever way we can.  Viper students are our #1 priority!

CURRICULUM:

All 8^th grade courses meet the requirements of the Deer Valley Curriculum and the Arizona State Standards. Students will receive information regarding the course outline from each 8^th grade teacher the first week of school. You may also view all of the 8^th grade curriculum standards and learn more about your classes by visiting each teacher's individual webpage and/or Canvas page.
