Hello Students and Families!

My name is Melissa Lasich (goes by MISSY) and I am thrilled to be working at Gavilan Peak again this year.  

Our family is from Pittsburgh, PA and we have lived here in Anthem for 17 years.  I obtained my original teaching license in PA after I graduated from Allegheny College with a major in Psychology and a minor in Education.  From there I went on to teach Kindergarten, Second, and Fourth grades in both Pittsburgh, PA and in North Carolina.  This is my 7th year at 好色导航where I have been a fifth, eighth, and now also seventh grade teacher.  After school I am busy keeping up with my almost-grown kids and my silly dog Mikki.  I LOVE to read and bake in my spare time.  Our family loves traveling and adventuring up north in Arizona.

A love of children and a passion for learning is what led me to the teaching profession.  Rest assured that I will be 100% committed to your child's education and emotional development this year.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions and I look forward to meeting you soon!
