Creating music is an exciting and fun part of who we as humans are. Every person has within them an ability to create and enjoy music. Teaching everything from 2nd grade in Los Angeles to 4th grade ELA and Social Studies, music and chorus are my favorite subjects to teach. After teaching in the classroom for many years and running an after-school theater program for 9 years, I know the joys of working with children every day.
Growing up in Virginia, my favorite musical in elementary school was Annie with Carole Burnett, Bernadette Peters and Tim Curry. Today, I still love musicals and the performing arts as well as reading, crafting and hiking with my family. My husband and I have two children as well as two dogs, and we love traveling as a family while trying new things together.
I see each child as an individual with their own unique view of the world. I love working with children and learning to see things from their perspective while giving them the opportunity to grow and learn about the world around them.
I wonder what we will create together this year?
