Mrs. Chin Lan Wheatley
大家好! My name is Mrs. Wheatley or 惠老师 (huì lǎo shī) and I am thrilled to be your child's fourth grade Mandarin, Math, and Science teacher. I am excited to be part of the amazing fourth grade team at Desert Sage. I have experience teaching Mandarin Immersion from Kindergarten to Fourth Grades at Arizona Language Preparatory, BASIS, and Cave Creek Unified School District in the Valley.
I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker from Taipei, Taiwan. After twenty years of working and living in Asia, Europe and the United States, I decided to follow my passion and family footsteps by switching to a career in education. I really enjoy teaching and building connections with my students through language. I am a firm believer in the power of education. I believe that learning a second language can expose students to a bigger world, one where they can enjoy more opportunities as well as experience the beauty of diversity. When I am not teaching, I love traveling, reading, doing yoga, and spending time with my family and friends while enjoying the great Arizona outdoors.
