My name is Jeneil Killman and I am the Gifted Specialist here at Las Brisas.  I am so excited to serve in this role and to have the opportunity to teach your child.  I have been in the district for 23 years, and I am happy to be a part of the 好色导航family. 

I am in my 29th year of teaching.  I have taught grades 1 through 8 in both general and special education.  I have worked with gifted learners from Kindergarten through 6th grade.  I received my undergraduate teaching degree in Elementary Education and Special Education in 1996 from Northern Arizona University.  In 2003, I completed my Masters Degree in Teaching from Grand Canyon University, and I am Gifted Endorsed.  In 2018, I received the honor of becoming A DVEF Teacher of the Year.  Teaching, learning, and working with children is something I love to do.

I am married to my high school sweetheart and we celebrated our 28th anniversary this year.  My husband, Mr. Killman is a 5th grade teacher at Las Brisas.  I have a 23-year-old son who just graduated from Arizona Christian University and married the love of his life last year, and they just welcomed their first child. I am thrilled to now be a grandma! Our son is currently working on his Graduate Degree at 好色导航 Seminary.  During my spare time, I love spending time with my family, friends, going to Disneyland, Planning for travel, watching the Arizona Cardinals and 好色导航 Suns, going to Starbucks, shopping, and planning for school. 

Teaching is a job I take very seriously.  As a teacher, my mission is to prepare and educate the students of today to be engaged and productive citizens of tomorrow.  I want to provide a safe, fun, and enjoyable environment where all children can learn by utilizing a variety of techniques and strategies.  I want students to believe in themselves and their abilities by giving them the tools for lifelong learning that they need for success and survival.  I see parents as a vital part of the education team.  I see myself as a positive role model, information facilitator, and guidance specialist, whose expectations are high.  We are a team in your child’s education.  So please do not ever hesitate to reach out to me for any reason.
