I am so excited to begin another year at Legend Springs teaching EL to our amazing students!   Here is a little about me.  I grew up in Connecticut and graduated from college at the University Of Connecticut, earning my Masters in Education with an emphasis in Reading. Soon after graduation, I moved to Arizona with my family to try a new adventure.   I taught 1st grade and received my reading specialist endorsement and SEI endorsement.  Later, I became a Learning Network teacher, where I went into model lessons for new teachers and teach reading groups.  That moved me into becoming a program specialist in the district.  I continued modeling and working with teachers to set up class learning centers and modeled reading lessons.  I missed working in my own classroom so went back into 1st Grade, moved into 2nd grade, and am now working with EL students.  I am passionate about teaching children and truly enjoy seeing them grow to become confident learners!

I met my husband here in Arizona and we have two wonderful children!  My daughter is beginning her college career at San Diego State University to become a nurse.  My son is a Junior in high school and is beginning his training to become a pilot!  During our free time, we love to visit the beach in California and enjoy being near the ocean!
