Mr. Killman

My name is Harley Killman and I will be your child’s teacher for Math ad Science this year.  I am entering my 20th year as a teacher here in Deer Valley.  I have worked with students from Kindergarten all the way up to High School Seniors.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Arizona University in Economics and Finance. Once I became a father I wanted a career change and decided to get my Master’s Degree in Teaching and Special Education.  I am excited to be a part of this amazing community here at Las Brisas.

I enjoy working with kids and think it’s great to watch them grow as they learn new and exciting things.  As a teacher, I have very high expectations for all of my students.  I will hold them accountable for doing their best as I will give them my best every day.  Our classroom is a safe space for all learners, and I am here to support all students and parents 100%.  We are a team in your child’s education.  Don’t ever hesitate to reach out for any reason.  Email is most likely the quickest way.

I have been married to my wife Jeneil Killman for 27 years.  She is the Gifted Specialist on campus here at Las Brisas.  We have had been lucky enough to work together three other times over our teaching careers, as we enjoy being at the same campus.  I am looking forward to rejoining her here at Las Brisas.

We have a son named Troy who just graduated from Arizona Christian University.  He is still in school working on getting a Master’s degree.  While attending college he met his love Kaycee.  They got married this past May and Jeneil and I couldn’t be happier for them.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and taking vacations.  This last summer we went to one of our favorite places Kauai, Hawaii with some close friends, and we had a great time.  I am a huge Arizona Cardinals football fan and have been a season ticket holder for 29 years.  However, as I look to the future and want to travel more, I decided to not continue with tickets this year.  That will be a huge change for my family.  However, new adventures await us!
