    • serves all the students at a school and helps them be their best.
    • can facilitate classroom lessons aligned with state standards.
    • consults with parents, teachers, and administrators.
    • provides materials to teachers and parents on topics related to the guidance and counseling standards when needed.
    • connects families with school and community resources.
    • talks with students who have a problem they'd like help to solve or have something on their mind they'd like to talk about.
    • visits with students who could use care and support from an extra adult.
    • counsels students in small groups built around shared needs.
    • counsels students individually.
    • teaches social skills and coping skills.
