Desert Mountain utilizes a Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) system. PBIS is an evidence-based framework used by schools to improve school culture and student behavior, while promoting a safe environment for learning. Our students and staff follow the HAWK behavior expectations: Honorable, Accountable, Willing Attitude, and Kind.
A key aspect of PBIS is focusing on positive behaviors, which is why Desert Mountain has implemented . PBIS Rewards provides an automated schoolwide PBIS management system. Our PBIS Rewards store motivates students to follow HAWK expectations in order to earn points and shop for prizes.
