For the past 17 years, I have had the privilege of teaching 5th and 6th grade students in the Deer Valley school district.  

Growing up as an Army brat, my family and I moved around quite a bit.  When my husband joined the Air Force, I thought the moving adventure would continue, but we ended up spending 6 years in Washington D.C. before moving to Arizona where we have lived for 20+ years.  My husband and I have 2 wonderful grown sons who still call Arizona home, so I still get to see them often.  

When not working, I'm usually camping or spending time at home.  I'm a bit of a sci-fi junkie and in my spare time, I enjoy reading, online gaming, and gardening.  My backyard looks a bit like a jungle and our 4 dogs really enjoy prowling around the green landscape.

This year, I will be working with students who are homebound.  I'm looking forward to this new school year and hope to inspire my students with the same love of learning that I have.
