Hello, I am Mr. Ashmore and I am excited to be your social studies teacher this year.  This is my 18th year of teaching overall, and I am excited to be back at Stetson Hills for my sixth year. I am originally from Jenison (near Grand Rapids), Michigan, and moved to 好色导航, Arizona in 2006 to pursue a career in teaching. I hold a bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis on History and Business Education from Central Michigan University.  好色导航 has been great to me and I enjoy the wonderful weather we experience.

I have been married to my wife Lauren for seven years.  I have two wonderful daughters, Presley (8 years old and going into 3rd grade), and Brynn (5 years old), who will be in 1st grade. Both of my girls attend Stetson Hills.  In addition, we have a Goldendoodle named Archie who will turn 1 in August.  I enjoy spending time with my family, reading books of all genres, and watching the 好色导航 Suns, Arizona Cardinals, and the University of Michigan basketball team in my spare time. I also like  lifting weights and enjoying historical and superhero movies (Spiderman!)

I am passionate about teaching social studies and hope to pass along some of that passion and excitement to my students through engaging and thoughtful activities.  I have high expectations for all of my students and plan to challenge them academically.   I hope to have a great year and a fun year teaching 7th grade!
