Hi!  My name is Jessica Cappello and it is my pleasure to welcome you to 2nd grade. I am very excited about being your child's teacher! This is my 17th year teaching in the Deer Valley School District. My goal is for my students to have a positive, fun, and successful learning experience throughout their 2nd grade year.  I believe that every student has the right to learn, be successful, and to feel safe at all times.  Every child deserves respect and personal attention. Your child's success and safety are my highest priority. 

I have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of Toledo.  I have taught First Grade, Second Grade, and Third Grade.  While I have loved teaching all of those grade levels, Second Grade is my favorite!  I can't wait for all the fun and learning adventures ahead!

I grew up in London, Ohio.  I'm an Ohio State Buckeye fan!!!  O-H-I-O!!!   I still have lots of family in Ohio and love to go back and visit when I can.  I moved to Arizona after college and met my wonderful husband, Tony.  With whom I have two beautiful children.  An 11 year old daughter, Sophia, and an 8 year old son, Carter.  My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family!  This summer, my family and I went to Cornado Island. We had a blast exploring the island, playing on the beach, eating yummy food and making memories together!

 I can't wait to spend the next year learning and growing with your little one!
