Hi everyone I am Jim Scappaticci. I am entering my 29th year here at Barry Goldwater High School. I have been teaching Economics all 29 years. I also have taught Government and American History. I got into education to be a coach and found out that teaching and coaching are my true passion. I currently am the head coach for girl's golf and girl's tennis and I am the JV boys soccer coach as well. I was the head baseball coach for 16 years and coached football my first 12 years. As you can tell I am a sports enthusiast. I have two kids my son Jimmy who is 19 and my daughter Elliana who is 17 and also currently a high school senior. My teaching style is to engage kids as much as possible. Teaching a class like Economics affords me that luxury since it is about their everyday lives. My goal as a teacher besides having your child experience academic success, is to help guide and prepare your child for their financial future.
