Welcome! My name is Rachel Borney, but students, please call me Miss B. I am so excited to be back for another year at Greenbrier!

I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai'i, but the desert has become my home - yes, I do enjoy the dry heat. I've been in Arizona since 2016, using my first four years to receive my degree from ASU. Go Sun Devils! I have experience in pre-school, first, fourth, and fifth grade, and I am excited to be back in my fourth grade classroom this year. I strive to create a safe, calm learning environment where I support my students in meeting high educational and behavioral expectations. I look forward to providing my students with a well-rounded, diverse, and meaningful education.  

In my free time I enjoy exploring the incredible scenery, restaurants, and activities that Arizona has to offer with my sweet puppy, Pax, my fiancé Liam, and our newest furry addition (thank you Mrs. Beermann!) Atlas - a purebred Siamese Cat. I am a hiker, a traveler, and an experiential learner, so when I'm not teaching or grading papers, I am enjoying all things Arizona!
