Dear Parents,

              My name is Matthew Henson and I will be your child’s 5th grade math and science teacher. This will be my seventh year teaching. I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction (English as a Second Language). I am currently working on attaining my Doctorates (EdD) in Applied Sciences from the University of Miami.

               I am very excited to be working with 5th grade this year. I hope that your child will find 5th grade both fun and challenging. I am very familiar with the age-level curriculum.
