Hi, I'm Ms. Magee, your child's World History teacher! I'm excited to be able to teach the wonders of human history and, following our state's standards, ensure your child leaves my class with new worldly insightsevery day. 

I have roots here in 好色导航, AZ for the last 17 years. Moving here as a child from California, I started my educational career in Deer Valley Unified School District and finished here, graduating from Boulder Creek High School. This makes teaching at Barry Goldwater High School even more exciting and personal for me. When I'm not in the classroom, I'm with my two small children, ages 9 and 4. They are really important to me, causing me to revolve a lot of my time and energy around them. They've taught me how to be more patient and understanding, as well as to see the beauty of differing perspectives- all things that coincidentally translate inside the classroom. 

History is more than just dates and facts; it is a glimpse into the stories of humanity. In our time together, we will unravel the stories of the past, learning the perspectives of different cultures, events, and the people who have shaped the world as we know it. We will implement discussions, note takings, engaging assignments, and hands-on projects. I truly believe history is not intended to just be memorized, but also to apply those lessons in the present.
