Hello-

My name is Nancy Persons and I love being a developmental preschool teacher! The kids keep me young and I get to play for a living. I am a native Phoenician and don't plan on living anywhere else. I got my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from ASU and my Master's degree in Educational Administration from GCU. I taught preschool from home while my kids were young and then for 7 years at Arrowhead Elementary in DVUSD. I spent the last 9 years working in the Early Childhood office as a mentor and itinerate early childhood special education teacher. I'm excited to be back in the classroom again, here at Las Brisas. I am married and have 4 daughters. I love spending time with my family! We love to watch movies! I do a lot of home improvement projects around the house, including expanding our vegetable garden and finishing the landscaping in our back yard. I like to sew and paint and create things and I love to decorate my space. We have a fifth-wheel, now and took it out this summer to southern Utah to see Zion's National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park. It was so much fun. I have 2 amazing para professionals that I get to work with each day. Heather and Amy. We have a lot of fun, and I could not do it without them! We are a great team. I look forward to an awesome school year, learning, growing and playing together!
