Hello! I am so excited to be your 7th grade English Language Arts teacher.
This is my second year at Deer Valley Middle School, and I am proud to be COLT STRONG!
I actually graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Juniata College. While I love and appreciate that field, I eventually realized that my true passion lies in teaching! There is no better feeling than seeing "the light bulb switch on" in my students' eyes when they understand a new concept or gain a new level of confidence in their abilities. English Language Arts is truly my favorite subject, because literature provides the opportunity to connect somehow with every single student on a deeper level.
