Mrs. Kamalakshi Murthy
Welcome to the 2024-2025 Deer Valley Middle School year, my beloved students and parents. I am thrilled to start this year with my 7th graders and advanced math students in Algebra 1-2. I have 20 years of experience teaching math overseas as a teacher and online math tutor. Keeping my one beloved daughter busy, I worked as an online math tutor for ten years in the USA for high schoolers and college students. In 2022, I resumed back teaching at school after my daughter graduated from high school. I taught as a Math teacher at Jefferson High School. I joined Deer Valley Middle School in 2023, and this is my 2nd year at DVMS.
My hobbies are solving math puzzles and helping the community when needed. I chartered the Lions Club during the Pandemic in 2020 to help the community through young adults. In 2020, there were only 40 members; now, there are 120 like-minded members in the club. We serve the community every weekend.
I strongly urge to give strong Math foundations to our community students, so I am thrilled to be a part of DVMS.
