What is the Seal of Personal Finance?

The Arizona Seal of Personal Finance program recognizes high school students who achieve a high level of proficiency in Personal Finance.
The seal is placed upon the student's diploma and noted on their transcript. The completion of a set of  determines proficiency. A seal is placed on the diploma and noted on the transcript up to 90 days after graduation.  Below is the documentation required to earn this seal.

Eligibility for the State Seal of Civics Literacy: 

• Students must complete all requirements during grades 9-12. Previous experience will not be counted. 
• Students must complete all social studies courses with an overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 out of a 4.0 scale. 

• Students must complete 1 activity from each of the four categories. 

  • Category 1: Completion of an approved personal finance program (Curriculum) 
  • Category 2: Participation in a co-curricular or extracurricular program (Outside of School) 
  • Category 3: Completion of a college and/or career readiness (Readiness Plan and Written Reflection) 
  • Category 4: Passage of an assessment of personal finance (Test) 

•  Select a mentor teacher to assist you through this process. Materials must be submitted by the individual student in the Google Form below to the District by April 1st, 2025. Notification will happen by May 1st, 2025
