Welcome to Mrs. Airing's Webpage for Constitution Elementary School Developmental Preschool!!!

A little information about the Preschool classroom:

The classroom instructional assistants are Ms. Dora and Ms. Maria.  Ali Fredricks is the speech therapist; Chris Paclibar is the occupational therapist; and we have a physical therapist working in our classroom. Therapies are interwoven into the daily curriculum in the most functional manner to allow children the best opportunity for learning.

We have time during the day when students are engaged in small group and whole group learning as well as opportunities for individualized learning and support. In addition to academic learning, students have many opportunities to practice social emotional skills and develop motor skills which will help them be ready for Kindergarten.

Preschool is a fun place for learning.  I believe children should be excited about coming to school and excited about learning. I find ways to make learning fun and engaging.

Please be sure to check your child's folder each week, review our weekly lesson plans and talk with your child about our daily activities.  I send lesson plans out weekly through ClassDojo and email, usually on Friday or Sunday. I always include a daily reflection question to ask your child based on an activity we did that day.

I want to encourage you to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.  Feel free to contact me by phone, ClassDojo or email.  I prefer email or ClassDojo messages because I may be able to respond quicker to an email than to a phone message. However, I will make sure to return any contact within 24 hours during the school week and within 48 hours if you contact me over the weekend.  If it is urgent, please indicate this urgency when making contact with me.

Thank you for your support and partnership. I am looking forward to a great school year!

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Kristi Airing

If you would like to donate items to the classroom, please consider donating any of the following items:

    • Clorox or similar cleaning Wipes
    • Kleenex
    • Baby Wipes
    • Paper bowls for snack
    • Paper or plastic cups for snack
    • I make playdough for the class to use so Flour, Vegetable Oil, Cream of Tartar or Food Coloring donations would be appreciated as well.
    • Snack items – I will provide a list of possible donation items, but generally we are always looking for Cheerios, chocolate chip granola bars, pretzels, applesauce, Goldfish crackers, Ritz or similar crackers, Cheese sticks, or veggie straws.
    • At different times throughout the year, I may ask for donations of other items as well.

I also have an Amazon Wish List if you would like to give a gift to our classroom.  I always ask for gifts for the classroom rather

than personal gifts because this benefits all students -
