My name is Rosa Di Maio, and I am the instructor for your ELA and Rio Salado courses! I started teaching in Deer Valley in 2000, and it is my privilege to be teaching you!  I currently teach high school/Rio Salado Duel Enrollment, at the community college, and university levels and really enjoy getting to know my students’ opinions about current topics.  Most topics, from politics to music can relate to Language Arts; this makes the subject infinitely interesting and relevant!  Being able to read and communicate through the written and oral word is a very powerful tool. I hope to empower you with mastery of these tools in hopes of ensuring your success. 

I acquired a Bachelor's degree in English and Secondary Education from ASU, and have obtained my Master's degree from NAU. I love to travel, and if I ever win the lottery I would love to visit most corners of the world.  Some of my favorite places to visit are Italy and Australia!  I love to spend time with oh-so-loved family and friends, but my favorite thing to do is just hang out with my son doing whatever he likes.  I like to laugh and believe that we can have fun while we learn in an engaging and safe environment.
