Welcome Students, Parents and Community members to the 2024-2025 school year at Deer Valley Middle School. I am so excited for this year to begin and to begin working with your child and you. 

This is my 20th year teaching in the valley. I am dual certified in English Language Arts and special education. This is my first year teaching at Deer Valley Middle School and my eighth year in the Deer Valley school district. I received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Cleveland State University in May of 2004 and I received my reading specialist endorsement in 2014. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1997 from Capital University in Ohio.

This past year was full of milestones.  In January, my first grandchild was born. In March, my second grandchild was born. In July, I celebrated my 19-year wedding anniversary.  It has been a wonderful experience becoming a grandma and I am enjoying spoiling them. I also enjoy spending time with my family: my husband, Robert, my daughter, Lilianna, my son, Garrett, his fiance Trishna and our nine-year-old dog Macy. I love to read, snuggle with dog, take walks and shop for my grandchildren and family.

Teaching is my calling and I believe that all children are capable of success and that parents are a vital part of the team that empowers a child to succeed.
