• The 6 "B's"

There are non active hours for the Health Center where there is restricted or limited access, only students with emergencies / 6 B's may come to the office. At the beginning of the school year,  each Primary classroom was visited by the nurse and 4-6th grades were shown a video to educate students and teachers on how to access the Health Center for illnesses and injuries and to  explain  that an emergency included  any one of the 6 B's: (See below)

    • Bleeding more than 2 bandaids can handle.
    • Breathing (always come with a buddy if you are having trouble breathing!).
    • Barfing (Vomiting -remember to barf into the bucket in the Health office, or a nearby trash can).
    • Broken Bones
    • Bumped Head
    • Bee Stings

The nurse is always accessible for the students if there is a question of illness or injury.
