I started out as a social studies teacher at Deer Valley High School in 2019. Before moving into the field of education, I worked with coaches and student athletes with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) in Denver, Colorado. Prior to that, I played five years in the National Football League (NFL) with the Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings and Indianapolis Colts. I earned my bachelors degree in political science from the University of Iowa where I was a four-year letterman on the Hawkeye football team.

I am also an assistant coach for the Deer Valley Skyhawk football team. My wife, Christi, and I have three awesome kids.
