• Articultion support for preschool - 6th grade:

Here is a great link for articulation ideas and support. Please see refer to your child's goals and targeted sounds for practice.

Simple Activities to practice making your speech sounds:

1: Board Games-When your child rolls a dice, have them say words with their speech sound that number of times before moving on in the game during their turn. So, the number the child rolls is both the number of spaces to move and the number of words to say before moving.

2: Car/Walk Fun- While in the car, look for things that have your child's speech sound. If you or your child find something, have your child use the word in a sentence.

3: I Spy- Use I spy to describe objects with the child's target sound (example: a "ball" if the child's target word is "ball") The person gives the clue, "I spy something that's __(round)____." to help them guess the 'ball' and produce their speech sound.

4: Treasure Hunt/Hide and Seek- Create a list of items with your child's speech sound and then look around for items that have your student's speech sound in them around your house/yard. See if your child can find them all and practice each word 5 times when they find each items.

5: Balloon Bounce/Bubble Pop: Have your child say as many speech sound words as they can before the balloon hits the ground or the bubble pops.

6: Pick 2- Write words with speech sounds/draw pictures on cards/pieces of paper. The child has to pick two cards from the deck at random and use both words in one sentence that makes sense.

See the other links on the side that provide lists of possible speech words or come up with your own for these activities.
