• Communication Guidelines

    Messages:

    • Always include a subject line.
    • Without facial expressions, some comments may be taken the wrong way. Be careful in wording your messages. Use of emoticons might be helpful in some cases.
    • Use standard fonts.
    • Do not send large attachments without permission.
    • Special formatting such as centering, audio messages, tables, html, etc. should be avoided unless necessary to complete an assignment or other communication.

    Discussion Groups:

    • Do not make insulting or inflammatory statements to other members of the discussion group. Be respectful of other student's ideas.
    • Be patient and read the comments of other group members thoroughly before entering your remarks.
    • Be positive and constructive in group discussions.
    • Respond in a thoughtful and timely manner.

     Coursework and Assessments Guidelines

    • If you have a situation in your life that I need to understand to award an extension or resubmission, please communicate and I will be reasonable.
    • If you are behind and need to understand how to prioritize an approach to help you move forward, I welcome the opportunity to support you.
    • While some of these efforts outlined above may not be available in employment situations or college/university circumstances, I recognize that high school is a time to learn the professional skills you need in other environments.
