• Module 7 2nd Grade Math 

     

    Essential Standards:

    • 2.MD.2 - Students will be able to use different standard lengths to measure an object twice in order to describe how the two measurements relate. 
    • 2.MD.8 - Students will be able to solve word problems involving money, including dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies. Record the total using $ and ¢ appropriately. 
    • 2.MD.10 - Students will be able to draw a picture graph and a bar graph in order to represent a data set with up to four categories. 
    • 2.MD.10 - Students will be able to interpret a picture or bar graph in order to answer questions related to the graph. 

    Module 7 Vocabulary:

    • Table: A representation of data using rows and columns
    • Picture Graph: A visual representation is used to represent data using pictures or symbols. 
    • Bar Graph: A visual representation that uses bars to extend to different heights to depict the value. 
    • Category: A group of people or things sharing a common characteristic 
    • Data:  A set of facts or pieces of information 
    • Scale: a number line used to indicate the various quantities represented in a bar graph  
    • Foot (ft): A unit of length equal to 12 inches
    • Inch (in): A unit of length
