BS Special Education MA Special Education Vision

Mrs. Lindsey Martinez

Lindsey is proud to have been a part of the Deer Valley Unified School District (DVUSD) for the past decade. As someone who has been in the field for 15 years, she finds the role of TVI fulfilling. Initially, she served as a special education teacher and later as a special education strategist.  She then pursued a graduate degree in special education, focusing on vision impairments to serve the students at DVUSD.

Her approach to teaching is guided by her belief in putting students first and ensuring that every student has the opportunity for a meaningful education. She is committed to empowering her students by instilling in them a sense of capability, high expectations, and the knowledge that they will be supported throughout their journey toward their goals. Collaboration with staff and parents is also highly valued. These teaching values drive her dedication to the students.

Outside the classroom, she enjoys attending theater shows and enthusiastically cheering on the Diamondbacks with her husband. With 23 years of marriage behind them, she is preparing for the empty nest phase as only one of her three children remains at home. Her desire to nurture success in her children is reflected in her efforts to inspire greatness in the students at DVUSD.
