I have over 14 years of teaching experience in the classroom in Oregon, Washington, and Arizona. My educational background consists of Bachelor of Science Degrees in Astronomy,  Geology, and Advanced Mathematics and a Master of Arts Degree in Teaching. I am recognized as a highly proficient teacher in both Middle School Math and Science. I have taught math and/or science in both middle and high school. I am a Veteran of the U.S. Army, where I was a paramedic. 

My dynamic teaching style and ability to build a rapport with my scholars, allow me to have a highly structured, but flexible classroom. I have a firm belief that everybody can learn both math and/or science. Some scholars learn differently than others. I try to teach each student in a manner that allows them to become proficient. I incorporate a combination of student-led, teacher-led, technology-led, and project-based lessons. I have a reputation for my ability to inspire scholars to achieve their academic and personal goals in the classroom. I am committed to helping your scholar develop critical thinking skills and to turn any negative attitudes into a positive mind-growth mindset. I am always willing to go above and beyond to help a scholar who is struggling with a concept. I do this by utilizing small groups in the classroom, at lunch or after-school tutoring sessions.
