Most students believe teachers spend ALL of their time in the classroom. However, I enjoy camping and traveling, especially where I can find an ocean. I also enjoy going to church, playing board games with family and friends, reading and running.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. I attended Arizona State University and graduated with a BA in Elementary and Special Education. Go Sun Devils! I have been teaching in 好色导航for 13 years. I am confident that my experience and expertise will help differentiate instruction for all learners by providing opportunities to learn and grow in an enjoyable environment through the use of research-based high-yield strategies.

As an academic interventionist, I support students that have gaps in universal skills such as reading, writing, number sense and English Language. These students receive support 4x/week in prior grade level skills in addition to Tier 1 and Tier 2 instruction from their classroom teacher. The goal is to accelerate learning by providing effective intervention so that they can perform at grade-level.

Principles of effective intervention at Tier 3 include:

• Explicit Instruction in area of need   
• Sequential pacing of instruction that moves from simple to complex                                                                                               
• Diagnostic teaching to automaticity
• Multisensory Strategies
