Welcome to my mathematics homepage! This is my 8th year at Sandra Day O'Connor, and in teaching overall. Additionally I am the head Cross Country coach, boys and girls, and am also the assistant that leads our distance group in our Track program. I look forward to educating and forming relationships with all of my students and athletes over the course of the next nine months.

    Algebra 1-2 (7th Hour) and Algebra 3-4 Honors (2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th Hours)

Algebra 1-2 Course Description: Algebra 1-2 reviews and advances the algebraic concepts students were exposed to in middle school and develops the foundation for much of the mathematics base they will need in high school whether it be for continued math courses or applied sciences like chemistry and physics. Algebra 1-2 is aligned with the Arizona College and Career Ready Standards and gears its focus towards success on the AZ Merit exam administered in the Spring.

Algebra 3-4 Course Description: This course is designed to engage students in the practice of mathematics by developing an understanding of mathematical relationships, functions, and models, both in and out of context, with an emphasis on problem solving. Algebraic topics will be developed and valued conceptually leading to procedural fluency. Students will utilize concepts, skills, representations, and techniques that address many different types of functions, including quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions.  This course also uses statistical models to analyze relationships represented by data.
