Parent Information and Expectations

  • Hello Parents,

     

    I'm here to teach your son or daughter some science!!!  I will be here to answer questions they might have (they can message me anytime), and provide video lectures, notes, assignments, answer keys, study guides, and exams.  I need your help though.  We need to work together.  Taking an online class can be challenging for some students because they need to have a little more discipline than in the traditional classroom setting.  It's too easy to forget about assignments and exams. 

    Assignments are due each Tuesday and Friday by midnight.  This doesn't mean students should wait until Tuesday and Friday to do the work though.  Please encourage them to do a little each day.  Can you set a reminder in your phone or an alarm to go off each Wednesday around when you might get home from work or your son or daughter gets home and on Friday morning?  This way you are reminded to ask them about their online class and if they completed the work that is due.  Maybe you can print out the document in the class that shows the due dates or each assignment so you can be specific when you are asking questions.

     

    Please check PowerSchools regularly to see if all the work is being turned in on time and what their grade is in class.  It will only take a minute or two!! Link to
