I joined the Mountain Ridge staff in 2006 and am proud to teach the Project Lead the Way Biomedical Sciences Program.  I am the advisor of HOSA, Future Health Professionals Career and Technical Student Organization.  

I also serve as the Certified Athletic Trainer for Mountain Ridge Athletics and sponsor the Sports Medicine Club.  My duties as the Certified Athletic Trainer include providing health care to MRHS athletes in preventing, evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating injuries they receive during their sports and returning them safely to competition.

My educational background includes:

• Bachelor's degree from Iowa State University in physical education, with minors in health and athletic training, 1997.
• Master's Degree from Arizona School of Health Sciences (AT Still University) in Sports Health Care, 1999.

My professional background as a Certified Athletic Trainer includes high school, junior college, and professional sports. Previous teaching experience includes Health and Sports Medicine. Prior to joining the Mountain Ridge staff, I taught a Sports Medicine class for 6 years while serving as the Athletic Trainer at a high school in 好色导航 for 7 years.

I am honored to have been selected as a 2014 Deer Valley Education Foundation Teacher of the Year.
