BS in Art with an Education emphasis

Hello! I am thrilled to embark on my journey here as the K-8 art teacher. With a bachelor's degree in art with an education emphasis from Utah Tech University, I bring a deep passion for creativity and learning to our vibrant school community. This will be my 1st year at SF but my 2nd year in DVUSD!
In our art classes, we'll dive into a world of color, shape, value, line, space, texture, and form. We'll explore various mediums, from painting to drawing and working with clay, while learning about the fundamental Elements of Art and Principles of Design. I believe in fostering a supportive environment where every student feels encouraged to express themselves creatively. Art was always my favorite class as a child and I had awesome art teachers!
In my free time, I love to create as well! I enjoy painting, drawing, collaging, and working with clay. I also love the outdoors and draw inspiration from nature while out running or hiking. My favorite pastime of all is to cozy up with a good book and get lost in its pages.
