Welcome to 7th Grade Social Studies! I am so excited to start my first year as a Coyote and joining this wonderful school community!

I was born and raised in Anaheim, California, but just moved out here to Arizona in June. I have a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Cal State Fullerton. This degree opened up my love for social studies, as it enabled me to delve into social, political, and economic aspects of historical events through many lenses. I also have an M.Ed in Learning Design and Technology from ASU.

This will be my 7th year as a teacher, and I have experience in a vast array of grade levels and subjects. I started teaching elementary 2nd-5th grade, moved to teaching technology/stem for pk-8th grade, and have taught middle school students in math, science, and history! Each different grade level and subject that I have taught has allowed me to push myself and grow as an educator and a lifelong learner. I am glad to say that I have truly found my calling as a social studies educator!

Outside the classroom, I spend the vast majority of my time in my woodshop. My dad and I have spent years working together to build a nice shop where we can be creative and make all sorts of cool things out of wood and resin. I am also a huge movie buff! I may watch too many movies...but who am I to judge? I love all things Marvel, Harry Potter, and Star Wars!
