• Welcome to our classroom update! The first few weeks of school have been both exciting and amazing as we’ve settled into our new routines and gotten to know each other. We've already made great strides in learning our class procedures and how to communicate and interact effectively. In reading, we’ve explored text structures, delved into understanding the author's purpose, and practiced strategies for monitoring and clarifying texts. Our writing lessons have been engaging as we learn to express our thoughts through prompts while also mastering cursive letters. In phonics, we’ve focused on identifying long and short vowel sounds in multi-syllable words. In math, we’ve tackled the concepts of perimeter and area models, building a strong foundation for what's to come. Next, we’re diving into the exciting world of volume and cubic measurements. It’s been a fantastic start, and I’m thrilled with all the progress we’ve made. I look forward to seeing where our learning journey will take us next!
