• Start Times: Sunrise Elementary offers free breakfast for all students in the classroom at 8:00am. If your child will be eating breakfast, they need to be in the classroom at 8:00 am so they will have enough time to eat and get ready for the day. If your child will not be eating breakfast, they need to be in the classroom at 8:15 am-which is when the school day begins. If students are not in the classroom by 8:15 am, they will be considered late. 

    Dismissal Times: School is over at 3:00 pm, however, our class releases at 2:50 pm.

    Early Release Days: Throughout the year, there are days where our school day ends at 1:20 pm and a few at 11:30 am. Any week there is a full Monday-Friday, there will be a 1:20 pm Friday Early Release. If we have a holiday where there is no school on Monday, it will be a Full Day Friday, kids will be dismissed at 2:50 pm. 11:30 am Early Releases only happen during Parent Teacher Conferences or the last day of school. Keep your district calendar handy for all the details.

    **Drop Off and Pick Up: Our classroom is located near 6th grade. We will drop off and pick up at the middle gate by the bus lane. The gate will open at 7:58 am. It will be locked by 8:15am. If you need to drop off your child after 8:15am, please go through the front office. The gate will then open back up at 2:50 for student pick up. Please let me know if you would like your child to be dropped off or picked up at another location. This can only happen if you are OK with your child walking without an adult.

    Labeling: We love to share items in our classroom so please label any materials that you would like only your child to use such as markers, scissors, diapers, wipes, etc.

    好色导航work:  There will be no homework from my class as our workload in class will be more demanding; however, if classwork does not get finished, it will be homework. In addition, it is highly recommended, that you read to or with your child at least 20 minutes per day.

    Absences: If your child will be absent, you need to contact the office at 602-467-5900. 

    P.A.W.S: At Sunrise, we use PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) to help create a safe and effective school community. Students will need to follow the P.A.W.S. rules, which are; Practicing respect, Accepting responsibility, Working together, and Safety matters. 

    When students are showing these campus rules, they will receive Class Dojo points that can be spent on the PAWS cart or the classroom store.
