• Hi! My name is Mandi McDonald and I am a 3rd grade teacher at SV! I am from Washington state, (Go Huskies!!) but I have lived in Arizona for 13 years. I love hiking and all things water, so I miss the mountains, the Puget Sound, the rivers and the lakes, but I love the sunshine in Arizona. In fact, we moved to Arizona for the sunshine and warm temperatures! I have been married for almost 20 years and have two amazing daughters, ages 16 and 14, both go to Mountain Ridge! I love playing basketball, running, lifting weights and just about all physical activities! I enjoy reading, especially non-fiction, and a good family-friendly comedy show! I coach girls JV B basketball at Mountain Ridge and some years I also coach middle school basketball. So, between seasons, camps and clinics, I am pretty much coaching year around and I love it! My family also loves serving at our church, we have been teaching pre-schoolers for the past 8 years!

    Teaching is a passion of mine and at my core I believe that every child deserves to feel loved and to be able to learn every day, and I strive to be a teacher that can provide that for all of my students!
